What are peptides?

Peptides are naturally occurring, short chains of amino acids that act as biological messengers in the body. They occur naturally in all animals and help regulate processes such as tissue repair, inflammation, metabolism, immune signaling, and neurological function. 

In animal health, peptides are studied for their ability to support the body's natural systems rather than override them, allowing the body to function more efficiently. 

As pets live longer, veterinary practices manage more chronic, inflammatory, and age-related conditions. Because peptides act as signaling molecules that encourage the body to function optimally, they are regularly studied for functional support, such as: healing wounds and injuries, improving difficult skin and coat disorders, losing weight and improving metabolic function, supporting gut and digestive issues, managing anxiety and stress, and promoting post-surgical healing.
